Moyles Court participated in an away football fixture against Park School. Team Moyles have happy memories of this fixture from last season as Jack scored 4 and Harrison netted 3 as the team beat Park 9-2, so they were looking to put in another impressive performance this time around. Moyles Court had the majority of the ball and looked dangerous every time they went forward. In truth, this was a fantastic all-round performance with Harrison bossing the game from midfield, Rohan marshalling the defence and Jack creating several decent chances for himself. Three quick goals before half-time saw Moyles Court go into the interval three-nil up, with 2 impressive goals from Jack, one of which was thanks to an assist by debutant Oscar. However, the score-line should have been double that as Moyles Court spurned a hatful of promising chances. Freddie played well on the right hand side and could have scored several of his own.
The second half saw Park come into the game a bit more and they scored a well-deserved goal midway through the second half to make it 3-1. However, Harrison grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck and forced an own-goal from Park before finding the net himself to make the final score 5-1. Again, the score should have been closer to double figures had Moyles Court made the most of their chances. This was a fantastic and in-control performance by the boys and they were feeling slightly disappointing at the full-time whistle that they had not produced an even more impressive scoreline.
Final score: Moyles Court 5 – 1 Park School
Man of the Match: Harrison
