The U11s produced a superb performance this afternoon, playing some super rugby in some rather less than super conditions. Having lost to LHS earlier in the season, the hosts shocked the visitors with an early try from Jack, who burst through a number of tackles to sprint clear and score under the posts. LHS replied with a try of their own, but at this stage Moyles were dominating possession. Eventually this paid off, with Moyles crafting a try of great beauty. A solid scrum enabled Lincoln to send a delightful pass to Charlie down the blind side and he released Sam, with an equally stunning pass, who skipped away from the defenders to score in the corner. This sparked the visitors into life and they started to dominate, but struggled to break through a determined Moyles Court defence with Tommy, Ben and Freddie in the thick of the action as always. Eventually the visitors did cross the line and scored another to lead 3-2 at half time.
The second half began with Moyles having to do a great deal of defending and they were powerless to stop the visitors from scoring another two very good tries. However, Moyles were not finished, and as the hail stones began to fall, Jack scored his second try of the match with another barnstorming run from deep. As the match drew to a close, the visitors remained slightly ahead, but there was still time for Jack to complete his hat-trick with another trademark burst of speed. A narrow defeat, but a huge performance. Well played boys.
Jack for three outstanding tries and a wonderful effort in defence.
