The final game of the season was played in extremely hot conditions and against a considerably older side, but the U11s finished their season in commendable style. FSM batted first and lost two early wickets. The first was a fine catch behind the stumps by Tommy, off the bowling of Jack and the second a wonderful catch by Ben off the bowling of Lincoln. FSM then started to score more freely and despite some tight bowling by Sam and Harrison they were able to post a good score.
The Moyles Court chase was a steady one, with all of the batsman coping well with the older bowlers. As wickets started to fall, Harrison dug in and was well supported by Sam who scored a couple of lovely boundaries to keep the opposition on their toes. In the end, Moyles Court fell short of the required total, but can be very proud of the way in which they played in such conditions. For Jack, Adam and Lewis, it was their last game for Moyles Court and on behalf of everyone, I would like to thank them for the contribution they have made to the cricket team over the last few years. Well played boys.
Sam for his impressive batting and bowling and to Jack for his wonderful captaincy in his last game for Moyles Court.
