A challenging first fixture of the season saw Moyles Court U11’s battle through adversity in the first half to achieve a much improved second half performance.
Despite being well organised and determined to close the opposition down, Moyles Court lost five quick goals in the first half through excellent play by the opposition. Harrison Hughes worked tirelessly moving the ball up the field, and Adam’s fantastic concentration and tackling at the back ensured Moyles Court had much more control of the game than the scoreline would suggest.
In the second half a brilliant piece of tactical nous by the Moyles Court coach saw a change in formation that wielded instantaneous results. Harrison scored a good goal to cap off an excellent move, and Moyles Court controlled the midfield for much of the remaining time in the game. Unfortunately we switched off at corners and conceded three late goals as legs began to tire, leaving the watching crowd perplexed as to how the equal share of possession could produce such an uneven scoreline. Final score 8-1 in favour of LHS.
