Moyles Court and The Park battled out another superb game of cricket at Dean Court on a sunny Wednesday. The visitors lost the toss and were put into bat and got off to a tricky start as they lost a couple of early wickets. Ben and Jack responded superbly with some excellent running between the wickets and clean striking and put the hosts back under pressure. George came in and struck a beautiful four through square leg and Freddie added the gloss to the Moyles Court innings with a wonderful flourish in the final few overs to enable the boys from the forest to post a score of 267.
The Park needed to get off to a good start, but Fin held a great catch in the first over to peg them back straight away. Evan chipped in with a wicket of his own and Sam came in and bowled off one leg to help keep Moyles Court on top. More tight bowling from Charlie and some good fielding in the deep meant The Park needed to score some big boundaries in the final few overs to win. They were denied that opportunity by some brilliant bowling by Danny, who bowled with pace and accuracy to seal the victory for Moyles Court. Well played boys!
Danny for his incredible bowling and Freddie for his excellent batting.
