The final note has been played, the final word spoken and the final step danced. The Moyles Court performance of ‘Annie’ is sadly over!
The audience at the Barrington Theatre, Ferndown, were temporarily transported to 1933 New York and they watched in awe as Annie (played by Sophie in Year 5) sang her heart out as she fought her battles with Miss Hannigan (played by Seren in Year 7), willed her relationship with Daddy Warbucks (played by Richard Milner-Smith, Moyles Court Headmaster) to succeed and thwarted the dastardly plot of Rooster and Lily!
Richard Milner-Smith, Headmaster says: “The quality of the production was simply outstanding. We had over 50 pupils performing in the show, ranging from Year 2 to Year 9. Everyone who took part performed with great confidence and skill and they all applied themselves brilliantly. Personally, it has been a pleasure and a privilege to spend time working with our pupils during this production and equally our staff thoroughly enjoyed taking on cameo roles.”
Mrs Suzanne Dixon, Head of Music and Director of Annie, adds: “This production will have created so many wonderful memories. I am so very proud of each and every cast member. The support and participation from the staff was superb. We are hugely grateful for all the family and friends of our pupils who came along to support and were wonderful audiences to perform to.”
