Moyles Court School is celebrating another excellent set of examination results and all pupils and staff are excited about the start of a new academic year under the leadership of newly appointed Headmaster, Mr Richard Milner-Smith.
Headmaster, Richard Milner-Smith comments: “It’s been a fantastic and uplifting start to the new academic year. I am extremely proud of our students and their achievements this summer. They have worked hard and have been very positive, both in their studies and in their contributions to the life of the school. Each individual student has made significant progress and they have left Moyles Court confident and prepared for the next stage of their lives. My congratulations go to the students and my gratitude to the teachers and parents who have supported them in their preparations for these examinations.”
To highlight one particular successful student, Chris Law gained an impressive 12 GCSEs with 8 A*s, 2 As and one B grade. Chris has won a Scholarship to study A levels at the internationally famous Gordonstoun School in Scotland.
This September sees the launch of the following:
Online GCSE in Psychology
Students in Year 11 will be starting an extra GCSE in Psychology this September that will be delivered online from a school in Cambridge. The GCSE in Psychology will be delivered to the pupils of Moyles Court by the Cambridge Centre for Sixth Form Studies in an innovative trial. Year 11 pupil Charlotte said: “I am so fortunate to be able to have access to study Psychology. I will be supervised in study sessions after school for 30 weeks, which then allows me to be flexible with my studies for my other GCSE subjects.”
Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) launched
Moyles Court is also launching its new VLE this autumn. The VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) is a virtual classroom that allows teachers and students to communicate with each other online. Class information, learning materials, assignments and homework are provided via the Web and Students can log in from anywhere in the world to view this information and download assignments and required reading materials to their computers.
Moyles Court has also proudly launched their new website www.moylescourt.co.uk which has been re-designed and updated to be as informative and as helpful to both present and future parents and pupils.

We are providing a wealth of information for students, parents, teachers and our community and these are fine examples of the steps being taken to ensure all of our pupils are supported as much as possible in their learning.”
