Moyles Court History Club arranged a memorable ‘Remembrance Day Bake-Off’ as a Poppy Appeal fund raising activity. The students designed and created sold the most amazing and delicious homemade shortbread and cakes. A cheque for over £130 will be sent off to the Royal British Legion.
The results of the Bake-Off were announced at their school assembly this week and the overall winner of the ‘Remembrance Bake-Off Award’ went to Lucy Brimble and Rachel Goff in Year 9 for their design and authentic and traditional Red Cross Trench cake.
Headmaster, Richard Milner-Smith adds: “Our weekly History Club continues to provide an excellent forum for the exchange and discussion of ideas for our pupils and I am immensely proud of the pupils’ efforts and money raised for the Poppy Appeal.”
