Y4 Football Match vs Bournemouth Collegiate School – 5th November

Match Report

Following a warm welcome from our hosts BCS, we played 3 games against a BCS A, B and C team.  In our first game against BCS A team we took an early lead through a well taken goal from Harrison.  BCS got back into the game shortly afterwards, when MCS conceded an unfortunate own goal when the ball was turned into our net directly from a corner. However, persistent pressure for the remainder of the game allowed Harrison to score 2 more goals, to give us a well-deserved 3 -1 victory.

Both our second and third games were very closely fought games, with several goal scoring opportunities at both ends and some really great goalkeeping from our keeper Edward and both opposing keepers, particularly the keeper in game three. However, both games ended in 1 – 1 draws, with again Harrison scoring a goal in each game. Although everybody really played well, a special mention should go to Lewis and Adam who both had excellent games in defence, sticking to the jobs they were given and staying on task in all the games and off course Harrison who scored all our goals.
