U11 Rugby vs Avondale – 29nd November

Moyles Court entertained Avondale on a bitterly cold, bright afternoon as both teams prepared for the forthcoming rugby season with a highly enjoyable training match. Avondale started well, but Moyles responded brilliantly with Tommy and Ben providing great physicality in attack and defence. It wasn’t long before Moyles started to score some tries of their own; Ben bulldozing over for the first, then Tommy for the second. Meanwhile, Josh was having a great game in defence, Charlie was constantly putting the visitors under pressure with his powerful runs, whilst Sam tried his best to jink and dance his way around the tight visitors defence. Freddie was leading the defensive line superbly, showing excellent awareness and it was fantastic to see all players involved and plenty of tries being scored. All in all, it was a fabulous first afternoon of rugby and my congratulations to every single member of the squad who were outstanding today. Well played boys!

Men-of-the-Match

Ben was selected by the opposition at the end of the game for his impressive performance and also to Tommy for a barn-storming effort this afternoon.
