Sport is an integral part of life at Moyles Court. All pupils participate in the PE and Games curriculum and many are involved in the extensive collection of sports based extra-curricular clubs.
Sport is genuinely for all at our school. Physical participation contributes significantly to pupils’ personal development and hopefully a long-term healthy life style. Intellectually the discipline of team contribution, challenge, confidence and self-esteem are all delivered through the PE and Games curriculum. Typical boys activities will include: Football, Hockey, Rugby, Cricket, Basketball and Softball. Girls play Netball, Hockey, Rounders, Gymnastics, Dance.
Boys and girls combine to play Volleyball, Short Tennis, Soccer, Cross Country, Fitness Training and Athletics.
Boys have a full fixture list competing in Soccer, Rugby, Cricket, Cross Country, Swimming, Gymnastics and Athletics. Girls compete in Netball, Hockey, Rounders, Athletics, Gymnastics, Soccer and Swimming.
Moyles Court are the current winners of the Wessex Challenge, having beaten competition from much larger schools in 2010. The Junior Girls’ Soccer team are current winners of the Avon Valley Girls’ League and Cup. Pupils also regularly compete against other local gymnastics clubs and at county level.
