Moyles Court Senior School Curriculum

The curriculum offers a balanced and broad education, providing the essential background for GCSE level courses studied in later years. All the core and foundation subjects are delivered through the National Curriculum. The Foundation Certificate of Secondary Education is available to all pupils in Year 9 for Spanish and French. During Year 9 pupils make their GCSE choices, preparing for up to 12 GCSE courses. Class sizes average 15 pupils.

Core subjects are compulsory and breadth of study is ensured by careful selection of the option subjects, which are studied in Years 10 and 11. In addition all pupils take qualifications in Personal Finance and have the opportunity to study GCSE Catering from September 2013. Photography has recently been introduced in Years 10 and 11. Ability specific setting in Years 10 and 11 ensures all pupils can progress at their own pace. From September 2013 International GCSEs were introduced alongside GCSE’s.

We are also keen on promoting good health in children and our catering department provides a fresh and varied menu for all children. For example menus please download Moyles Court Menu 3 week cycle 2017
