Charity Commission Public Benefit Report and Assessment

Press release issued by the Governing body of Moyles Court School, Trustees of Manor House Trust

Subject: Charity Commission Public Benefit Report and Assessment

The trust volunteered to take part in this assessment many months ago, confident that charitable aims are at the heart of the ethos, operations and activities of the school. The school is mindful of its social responsibility in maintaining long-forged community links and in seeking to establish and nurture new ones.
This includes building relationships with the Parish Council, small businesses, working with other charities and the important role of providing secure employment for more than 70 - mainly local - people.

The core aim of the school is to provide a balanced education for young people so that they are ready for a successful and fulfilling life. A broad curriculum with varied experiences, delivered by committed educational and pastoral professionals is key in achieving this. Visitors to the school remark on the welcoming, happy and purposeful atmosphere.

Enrolment for nursery and day school places is up on this time last year and boarding capacity is being increased to meet demand. The trustees and governors consider this success the result of a happy synergy of clear educational, pastoral and charitable aims being realised. The trust is pleased that this has been recognised, the latter being confirmed by the Charity Commission Public Benefit Assessment.
