Moyles Court Wins National Awards for Art and Essay Writing


Moyles Court School is celebrating national recognition for excellence in Arts, receiving awards from the Good Schools Guide 2011.

The Awards are in recognition for:

- Best Girls Short Course GCSE Results in England for Design Technology

- Best Boys and Girls GCSE Results in England for Art and Design

- Best Girls GCSE Results in England for Design Technology Textiles

In addition, on 12th November at the Independent Schools Association National Art Exhibition, the following awards were won by pupils of the school.

Jessica Evans – 1st prize Winner – Art Sketch book (up to 18)

Bethany Osman – 1st Prize Winner – 3D sculpture (under 16)

Daisy Webb – Runner Up – 3D Sculpture (under 14)

These are outstanding achievements, especially for Jessica Evans whose work was judged superior to and alongside competing entries from A level students.

In June a Year 10 pupil won the Independent Schools Association National Essay Competition.

Mr Meakin, Headmaster said, “I am delighted with these exceptional awards.  Our students have worked incredibly hard and we are all very proud of their achievements. Top marks to our teachers too!”.
