Forest Camp Experience

Pupils enjoyed learning camp craft, expedition and team building skills as part of the Year 6 and 7 camp just before the half term break. Activities included learning to pitch a tent, packing a rucksack, map reading and orienteering. Physical and team building challenges included a rope swing, "skinning the snake" (no animals involved!) and trust exercises. There is no Saturday school at Moyles Court. Weekend activities are on offer throughout the year, such as canoeing, overnight camps and outdoor education activities, all delivered by qualified professionals. Residential outdoor activities are offered from Year 3 upwards, leading towards the Duke of Edinburgh's Award in the senior school. Moyles Court is the current holder of the Wessex Challenge, testament to the high level of physical, team, social and problem solving confidence which pupils acquire through the rich activities and outdoor education provided. Forest experiences are available for all local children during the Summer Holidays via Zest Activities.
