The Governors of Moyles Court School are delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Richard Milner-Smith as Headmaster with effect from September 2014.
Richard Milner-Smith is currently Deputy Head at Moyles Court and will take over the leadership of the school following Mr Greg Meakin’s move on to a leadership position with the GEMS Education group, at Sherfield School in north east Hampshire.
Richard Milner-Smith has been the Deputy Head at Moyles Court School for 3 years, having previously worked at a number of ISA schools, building a wealth of experience in both academic and pastoral roles. Prior to his move to Moyles Court, Richard was an Assistant Head at Claires Court Schools in Maidenhead.
On his appointment, Richard said “I am thrilled, delighted and privileged to be offered this opportunity to lead and continue developing Moyles Court School. It is a school which has the children at the heart of all that it does and I look forward with excitement to building on its past successes and leading the School forward.”
Greg Meakin (Headmaster since September 2008) comments: “Moyles Court is a wonderful school where my children have had a fantastic start to their education. The teachers and support staff are extremely talented and committed. It has been such a pleasure to be part of the school’s success with them and I thank the pupils and wonderful body of parents for their whole-hearted support throughout.”
Canon Stanley Royle, Chair of the Governors says: “The community at Moyles Court is very grateful to Greg Meakin for the leadership he has provided over the last six years and wish him well in his new appointment. We are confident that the school will now progress to a new and exciting stage in its future under the inspirational guidance of Richard Milner-Smith.”
