Moyles Court boarding school
Non-military Boarding
Perhaps surprisingly many of our boarders whose parents are not members of Her Majesty's Armed Services live reasonably close to the school. Many will have joined Moyles Court as day pupils and "converted" to boarding at a later date.
Although reasons for this move will be varied many pupils will come from families where both parents work difficult hours and therefore find it impossible to be as supportive as they would wish.
All the boarders I had contact with were very happy at the school and enjoyed being a boarder.
The boarding house and its staff offer the continuity, security and support of a caring "extended" family, fellow boarders becoming "honorary" brothers and sisters.

Often senior pupils will opt for boarding as the GCSE examinations approach. More structured study times will lack the distractions of a busy household and younger brothers or sisters. Boarding at Moyles Court falls into three categories; Flexi, Weekly and Full.
As society changes many children exist in an environment lacking fun and friendship. It is in these circumstances that parents often consider boarding.
Flexi boarding is only available if we have spare bed space and is for shorter periods of time. Weekly boarding is from Sunday evening/Monday morning until Friday evening. Full boarding is over a full week (7 days).
Our approach to boarding is flexible with the opportunity to "switch" between weekly and full (within reason). It is for this reason that fees are identical.
Comments such as 'it's fun being a boarder' and 'staff are great' were common during discussions had with children.
